Vincent Urbank, Professional Strongman, Joins The GI Nutrition Athletic Team

ALLENDALE, NJ – GI Nutrition has announced that Vince Urbank, a top young star in professional strongman and powerlifting has joined the GI Nutrition team. Vince, who is currently 23 years old, proudly served in the US Marine Corps from 2005-2009. Just 3 years ago, while still enlisted, Vince began competing in strongman events. With a 6’5”, 315lb frame, Vince has made some serious strides over the past year.  Earlier this year he competed in the American Strongman Corporation (ASC) Southern Strongman Challenge where he placed 2nd overall (Pro’s and Amateurs), 1st among amateur competitors, and received his official ASC pro card.

On the weekend of August 5th, Vince made his pro debut at The America’s Strongest Man Competition in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Competing against many of the top pro strongman in the USA for the title of, “America’s Strongest Man”, Vince finished 4th overall. Vince also won two events, the push/pull medley and the Chevy Cruze Car Hold for maximum time. This is an unbelievable accomplishment for not only being the newest pro at the show, but also being the youngest competing athlete at the event.

Vince’s next scheduled show is the Olympia on September 16th and 17th in Las Vegas, NV. This is one of the biggest ASC shows of the year. Vince will also be competing in the world famous NOTLD: Andy Bolton Challenge, in October. Here he will go head to head with the best deadlifters in the world. Vince recently pulled an 881lb deadlift, with ease, and is looking to shatter the all-time American 308 lb. class deadlift record of 903 lbs. for the top deadlift in the 308 lb. weight class.
